Vacation Fun

We had the chance to have a nice little vacation. On Friday July 26th we headed down to Utah. We spent the next week with Craig's family in their house that they have in Midway, near Park City. It was so fun. It was great to have a break for a while from school and work. We did lots of fun things, some of which included: renting a pontoon boat and spending the afternoon on the lake on it, swimming and fishing; spending another afternoon at the lake and renting and taking rides on a jet-ski; going to the fair and rodeo; going to the Olympic Park in Park City where the boys did the zip-line and ropes course; lots of swimming in the pool; shuffleboard and tennis; and much more! We also barbecued lots and had lots of yummy food :). Every morning the guys got up early and went golfing while I had the luxury of sleeping in, which is so great for a pregnant lady who takes forever to get comfortable and fall asleep at night! There were some things I couldn't really do, being 36 weeks pregnant, but it was still lots of fun!

Also another thing that happened when we were there was our ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! It happened to fall on the last Saturday we were there. Craig's parents had a gift card for a lunch at a lodge at the Deer Valley Resort up in the mountains. So on Saturday we left about 10:30 or so and made the gorgeous drive up the mountain to the resort. We had a very yummy lunch! We got these delicious garlic cheese fries for an appetizer, then I had a grilled shrimp Caesar salad, and Craig got a burger. It was so good. We got chocolates for dessert, but they were kind of weird.. Too fancy for us. Ha. After lunch, we rode the ski lift up to the very top of the mountain. At the top we got off and walked around and looked at the beautiful views! It was cool. Then we rode back down and then headed home. It was nice and relaxing. A little bit later we went to Kneader's bakery for treats. I'd never been there, and Craig has been saying how awesome it is (we still have to go for the famous french toast though..). It was yummy! So that was about it for our anniversary celebrations. I can't believe it's been a year already! (Look away now if you get annoyed/grossed out by lovey dovey spouse bragging.....) It's flown by, and I have the best husband in the world! He is just the best and so cute! He is so thoughtful and patient with me. I'm so excited to see him be a daddy, he'll be the best. =)

Anyways, enough of that. We stayed until Monday and headed back to Centerville that afternoon. Monday evening I had another baby shower at Craig's Aunt Vicki's house. It was mostly family there with a couple people I know too. It was fun! We made hair bows, and baby girl got lots of cute things!

Tuesday it was time to head home, back to real life.. Since then we've both just been working every day! My shifts are only 2-3 hours though, which is good because it's all on my feet, and it gets really hot in there.. Besides that we've just been getting ready for baby to come! Everything is pretty much ready! Now it's just the waiting game.Only 16 days until I'm due..how crazy is that!?? Anyway, here are some pictures because they're much more fun than words. =)
